ShivNaad Vrund Ignites Janmashtami Spirit in Houston and California

In a soulful blend of culture and devotion, the recent Shree Krishna Janmashtami celebrations held in Houston and California turned into a musical spectacle under the vibrant leadership of Sadashiv Dave and Smruti Dave.

The duo, founders of ShivNaad Vrund, a musical movement born in Umreth, Gujarat, have successfully lit up the American stage with traditional Gujarati Garba and Bhakti Sangeet, drawing the Indian diaspora into a spiritual wave.

A Musical Celebration Across Borders

With performances held in 17+ cities across the USA, ShivNaad Vrund brought together people from all walks of life through live devotional music, rhythmic garba beats, and cultural storytelling.

The sound of devotion knows no boundaries. Through every taal and every verse, our mission is to connect hearts.

From Houston to California, venues echoed with Gujarati bhajans, traditional instrumentation, and a celebration that recreated the vibrant aura of Janmashtami as experienced in India.

Bridging Cultures with Devotion

The celebration not only honored Lord Krishna’s birth but also showcased Gujarat’s cultural richness, connecting second-generation Indian-Americans with their roots. The melodies, the rituals, and the community participation made it more than an event — it became a spiritual bridge between two worlds.

Cultural pride is not just preserved — it is performed and shared. Every city we sing in becomes a new home for our traditions.

ShivNaad Vrund’s efforts in the USA are part of a larger mission — to spread Indian devotional music globally, empower artists from Gujarat, and keep traditional music alive in modern formats.

Stay tuned as the journey continues.
